I Love My Readers Giveaway

I know that everyone has challenges right now, and when a friend asked me to send a card to her dad who had just gotten out the hospital (her dad LOVES getting mail) I wondered if anyone else would love a surprise in the mail.

So I asked on Twitter and FB what you thought. And you overwhelming told me a huge and unqualified, YES. Okey dokey. So I got out every coverflat I had tucked away in a closet.

Coverflats from 24 books. (Here is just a sampling.) I got out bookmarks and postcards. Then I asked some friends … Read more »

Friday Reads: Romance & An ARC Giveaway

I was on vacation recently and took a stack of books with me. As one does.

My husband always cringes and asks, “How much room do you need for the books?”

My answer is always the same, “Enough for all of them.”

He’s a patient man.

First Things First

Before we even got to the airport, I’d broken out Valerie Bowman‘s The Right Kind of Rogue, and it turns to be a great book to while away a lot of airplane hours. In fact I was a little sad when we arrived early, and I had to stopRead more »

Who Said It: Challenge Accepted

You all know my books too well, so I’m digging in and hoping this one is a stumper. So Who Said It?

“A few minutes ago you couldn’t wait to leave and now you want to stay?”
“That was before I killed a man

,” she offered, coming up with the only excuse she could other than the truth.
“You didn’t kill anyone. You only winged him.”
“Are you sure?”
“Yes.”
She glanced back up the stairs, where even now a tide of servants was rushing to the aid of their master. “I think his

Who Said It? Ups the Game

You all have had it way too easy. Time to up the
Who Said It? game.

“…and now that he is inclined to marry—“
“I don’t think the earl has any intention of—”
“Of course he intends to marry. He made his bow at Almack’s.”
Which of course every matron in London knew was code for: I wish to marry your daughter immediately.

Did You Guess Who Said It?

So who said the following:

“You lied,” she said, going toe-to-toe with the man before her. “You told me he still loved me, wanted me.” She glanced over her shoulder and shuddered at the sight of him. “What he wants is a good bath and his ration of rum tossed overboard.”

This one, at least to me, was pretty easy and obvious. It has to be Lady Philippa, Memoirs of a Scandalous Red Dressor as I always call her, Pippin, talking about her beloved Dash, after finding him all those years later. I absolutely adore this book, Memoirs of a Scandalous Red Dress
