Samantha James's List of Favorite Romantic Movies

Samantha James is back today to talk about her all time favorite romantic movies. Pop some corn, settle in and let the debate begin, because here is Samantha’s list:

Elizabeth tells me a lot of her readers here are movie buffs. Well, I am, too. Good movies are like good books; you come back to them again and again because they strike a chord every single time. With that in mind, we thought it would be fun if I shared some of my favorite romantic movies. First off, though, let’s get one out of the way. I won’t list Pride … Read more »

Meet My Friend . . . Samantha James

As promised, I would like to introduce you to my friend, Samantha James.  She was kind enough to let me bug her with questions about her writing and her new book, Bride of a Wicked Scotsman, and then I even roped her into blogging on Thursday as well. That’s what kind of friend she is! So without further ado, here is Samantha James:

EB:  What do you think the lure of the plaid is? How come Scotsmen make such great heroes?

SJ:  The accent. Hands down, it’s the accent. When I think of Scotsmen, several things pop into … Read more »

Meet Laura Lee Guhrke

So Laura (or LLG as she is to be known) is up to her eyeballs in a deadline, but I wanted to do an interview with her since she has a great new book out, Secret Desires of a Gentleman.  So instead of bugging her and risking a scud attack from Boise, I decided to just mine our emails that we send back and forth for dirt on the esteemed and talented Ms. LLG. And besides, I thought you might want to know what authors really talk about when no one else is reading . . . Here it … Read more »

Meet Delilah Marvelle – The New "Mistress of Pleasure"

So this week brings the arrival of a debut author, Delilah Marvelle and her wonderful new book, Mistress of Pleasure. I asked Delilah to drop by and meet all of you, so without any further ado:

1) Delilah, how exciting to see your first book Mistress of Pleasure coming out! Congratulations! What was the spark that ignited this story? In other words what came to you first?

Thank you so much for the congrats, Elizabeth, and for having me on your blog! I’m definately thrilled to see my first book in print.

Ah, yes. The spark that ignited this … Read more »

What Readers Do . . .

Is come out of the woodwork and comment like crazy. Wow! Was I overwhelmed at how many of you took the time to enter my contest. Keep those comments coming because they all count. What also overwhelmed me was that so many of you have said that you can’t wait for Tempted by the Night to come out, and believe me I really, really appreciate hearing that. You don’t know how much such bubbly praise makes an author’s day.

Nor should I tell you that I have a copy of the book sitting on my desk–I usually get a … Read more »

Isn't She Sweet?!

I’ve been hankering to get a dog for months now. I had a dear kitty for seventeen years, and she passed away about two years ago. Last winter I started getting the pet bug again, but I ran into two obstacles. The husband and my youngest. The husband objects because he didn’t grow up with animals and just doesn’t understand. Oh, he loves animals, but doesn’t really get the whole “let’s get a dog” passion I have right now. And the other obstacle? My youngest, who is terrified of most dogs. My husband is convinced I’ll never get Matthew past … Read more »

Take The Girls Out For a Little Adventure

Now I know you think I am going to share some wild and crazy thing I did last week, and you would be right. I am going to share. You see I did something many women don’t do and should do every year, which is see to their physical well-being. We make sure the kids get their annual visits in, get them to the dentist and ortho as scheduled, heck even the cats and dogs get more regular care than we give ourselves.

But when was the last time you had a mammogram? When was the last time you took … Read more »

Travel the World with Diane

This week I’ve asked my dear friend, Diane O’Neal to blog about her life and experiences. She’s a regular reader here and posts quite often, so you might “know” her, but since she lives, what I humbly think of, a most extraordinary life, I wanted all of you to get to know her a little better. We went to Italy last week, now join me as we tour the world with Diane:

Hi, I’m Diane O’Neal and Elizabeth asked me to be a guest blogger and to tell you a little about my life. I’ve never blogged before, but I … Read more »

Gas Pump Buddies

If there has to be a plus to the high price of gas these days, I think I’ve discovered it. Have you noticed how much friendlier folks are at the gas pump these days? Not the poor clerk behind the counter who is taking abuse over prices he has no control over, but your fellow gougee on the other side of the pump. Instead of pumping gas and not making eye contact with anyone, or just staring at the ground until it clicks off, people are talking. They are even laughing. Well, it’s that pained laugh you make when you … Read more »

Welcome Sophia Nash

This week I am turning over the Monday morning duties to my good friend, Sophia Nash. Sophia has graciously offered to helm the blog today and tell you all about her new book, The Kiss, which hits the shelves tomorrow. I love Sophia’s books, which are lush, wonderful stories, and I like Sophia because she makes me laugh.

EB: The Kiss received a Top Pick from Romantic Times and is an All About Romance Desert Isle Keeper, congratulations. What drew you to writing this story of unrequited love?

Sophia: I had always wanted to write a book about … Read more »
