Five Things for Friday

Hello my dear friends! This has been a hard week. In the ways that just shake you. More on that later.

Instead, let’s first share some things to make your weekend a little more special, adventurous and sweet.

One

What to read? Why not try an oldy but a goody.

The Grand Sophy by Georgette Heyer.

If you’ve never read Georgette

Summer Romance Bingo

I love the Ripped Bodice’s annual Summer Romance Bingo! What a fun way to find new titles and authors and just, well, READ.

But I also love adding to people’s squares and TBRs, so might I suggest if you are looking for ways to fill the following squares, I’ve got you covered.

And don’t forget, Ripped Bodice will be more than happy to order you any of these titles by giving them a call, (424) 603-4776.

I’m on a Boat

Goodness, where to begin? You could start with Brazen Temptress, where Captain Maureen Hawthorne (Yes, a LADY pirate) … Read more »

I Love My Readers Giveaway

I know that everyone has challenges right now, and when a friend asked me to send a card to her dad who had just gotten out the hospital (her dad LOVES getting mail) I wondered if anyone else would love a surprise in the mail.

So I asked on Twitter and FB what you thought. And you overwhelming told me a huge and unqualified, YES. Okey dokey. So I got out every coverflat I had tucked away in a closet.

Coverflats from 24 books. (Here is just a sampling.) I got out bookmarks and postcards. Then I asked some friends … Read more »

Recent Reads

I’ve been–for a bit–on a Fantasy reading binge. But oh, there are some great stories out there that I would be remiss in not sharing. They have everything we all love about romance, but also that wonderful reach into another world and acres of adventure. So I offer up these books as something to try if you are looking for new reads:

Crush the King

The 3rd entry in Jennifer Estep’s A Crown of Shards series, I have to admit, I loved Crush the King, the most. (But don’t get me wrong, I raved about the 2nd book, Protect Read more »

Mailbag Questions No. 1

I asked my Facebook page folks if they had any questions for me, and they came through with a bunch of them! So I thought I would answer them over here as well, since not everyone follows me everywhere. (But if you want to, please visit me on FB, Twitter, Instagram…. LOL)
But anyway, the first question really hit me.
Yes, yes, and absolutely yes, I am writing.

I’ve been hard at work on a historical fiction set in a small town in Wyoming. It has all the elements you will love–great friends, a few wacky characters, … Read more »

April 1st

I always smile when I see this date. You see, April 1st has a different meaning for me–not the day of pranks and foolery, but the day I began my publishing career.

Not the day I sold, but the day I turned in the manuscript of Brazen Angel for the Dell Diamond Debut contest. To me, April 1st is the day it all began.

Brazen Angel

Now there is a HUGE story behind my first book, and you can find it here. Go read it

Confessions of A Little Sale

Hey folks, just a quick note to let you know that the ebook of Confessions of a Little Black Gown is on sale right now for $1.99. Confessions of a Little Black Gown

Yes, you got that right, $1.99!

Can I say that this cover still makes my heart beat faster. I just LOVE this cover. And the heroine, Thalia Langley? I have a little secret about her. Or rather a Confession….

She got her name because I have a penchant for eavesdropping. Sort of like Thalia herself.

I have utterly no shame about listening into conversations taking place in public. I adore them. I get … Read more »

Romance Retellings

The theme for the #Romancestagram hashtag over on Instagram this month is “Romance Retellings.” I have to say, this is one of my favorite themes so far, both as a reader and a writer.

Every month as the themes are announced, I scan to see if I have any books or favorite reads to share, and usually I have one or two, but this month is an embarrassment of riches. Or should I just confess–like most romance authors, I simply love retelling a classic

Summer Reading

There are all kinds of ways to find authors and books, but there are two new ones out there that have me filling up my TBR, and I thought I should share with you. Because, I’m nice that way. And I like enabling other people in their bookish habits. *Cue fiendish music……*

#Romancestagram

If you are on Instagram, then you want to make sure you are following RomanceLibrary and her #romancestagram hashtag because each week she and a number of other bloggers and readers (and of course, you can as well) are posting books from their favorite historical romance … Read more »
