My favorite homemade treats at the Holidays are: Old English Toffee (kind of like a homemade Heath Bar), Spritz cookies and a shortbread cookie with a jam filled thumbprint and drizzled with dark chocolate. I don’t have any idea what the name of the shortbread cookie…my kids & I just call them ‘Mom’s Shortbread Cookies’.

Your contest prize for this month sounds spectacular…I’m heading over to the website now to enter!

Oh heck, if it’s the holidays, and it’s a cookie, I’m not picky (mostly). πŸ˜‰ But you know, I can’t remember ever really having any Gingerbread guys or gals. . . one of these days I’ll change that. πŸ™‚ But fudge is good for any time, definitely perfect for any occasion. πŸ™‚

Fudge AND peanut brittle. I love them both. And pretty much any kind of cookie with chocolate in it!

    Fudge!!
    Spritz Cookies
Almond Roca – okay, this isn’t homemade
    Frangos, not homemade either…
    Christmas Crack
    Peanut Butter Balls
Pizzelles – we make them every year
    Pumpkin Pie

    Not necessarily in that order…

Sounds like a delightful prize! Does it come with a Duke?

Your contest sounds awesome! But there is no place on the entry form for a zip code. How will you get my prize to me if I win?

I love peanut butter fudge! Peanut butter anything, really. Just not penaut brittle.

I also like Christmas cutouts. Mostly because of how they look and the frosting/decorations.

I love opening up a package to find home-made goodies! All of it sounds amazing! As speculation over Lisa’s previous comment…
I’d much prefer the ring! πŸ˜€

Lisa, will a “Duke” book count? πŸ™‚ Kearston, I can’t do anything about the ring part. Elle, thanks for pointing out the zip code snaffu! I got my webmistress to fix that. But don’t worry, I can track down your zip code–usps.com!

I love all the treats and dishes at the holidays and am at a loss to pick just a few. I love the baking, fussing, and all the oo’s and ah’s when the door opens and they all come in…

This year, I’m not sure who will come because last year all my girls were in town and family came from out-of-town. This year it could all be really quiet with the whole fam-damily off else-where and a pause as new objectives and traditions could begin. Which I have seen many times and will again.

So thanks for the reminder! I love the salty and fruity over the chocolate and goo-ey. Then there is that new fondue gift I tucked away last spring…

    Don’t forget the bubbly!

I am never picky when it comes to holiday treats!

    My favorites are:

    sugar cookies
    chocolate fudge
    thumbprint cookies

Oh! The most yummy treat would be a tall, dark and handsome Duke for the holidays! =)

Looking at that list of treats, and you want us to CHOOSE? How is that in the holiday spirit? πŸ˜‰

Though I am partial to sugar cookies, fudge and Hubby’s pecan pie (without the pecans). Oh, and maple pinwheels. But I like those ALL year.
