Keeping up with my #TBT retrospective of The Bachelor Chronicles in preparation for the release of Mad About the Major, I’ve always found it interesting how divided readers can be about their deep and abiding affection for either This Rake of Mine or Love Letters from a Duke, the 2nd and 3rd installments in the Bachelor Chronicles series.

With Mad About the Major only a few weeks away from arriving on an ereader near you, I thought I would look back at the Bachelor Chronicles–starting with the first book, Something About Emmaline.

If you’ve never read this one, I have to say: what are you waiting for? Emmaline is one of my most favorite heroines–I adore how they first meet–Alex arriving at his London town house to find it in the throes of being redecorated and a woman in his bed. A woman who claims to be his wife:
