The Most Wonderful Time of the Year

Have you seen this Staples commercial? I’ve been humming this tune for the last week or so. You see, when the little darlings go back to school, then I get to work. Lately, I’ve taken to hovering around my office, tapping my foot and anxious to get back at it. But for now, I’ll have to settle with cart dancing down the aisles of Staples.

Now if you also have kids going back to school, might I suggest this in their lunch boxes? These Apple Raisin Bars are delicious and very easy to make. I finish them off with a sprinkle of powdered sugar, which the online recipe doesn’t show, but the one clipped from the magazine does. Besides, they also go well with the celebratory coffee you’ll be pouring as the yellow school bus fades into the distance . . .

My son has only been out of school one week (between his pre-school’s summer camp session and the start of his pre-K class) and Tuesday cannot come soon enough. They are totally teasing us today by having a one-hour meet and greet/find your cubby thing.

I work next to a Staples and was teasing one of the workers about this song. He said it is the best ad that Staples ever brought out.

I like that Staples has a little bit of everything when it comes to office stuff. ๐Ÿ˜€
